Great Profile Headlines

Remember guys that the overall purpose of a tagline is to briefly say something that pigues enough interest which invites her to take a sneaky-peek further into your profile.

But at the sametime to create some sort of icebreaker that can lead easily to further discussion — at least this way you’re providing the prospect with an easy topic to start a conversation.

It’s important to think of it as a friendly “teaser.” The expression “Leave them wanting more” could be used to best describe what to put in the tagline and acts like a billboard ad that portrays an appealing image of you as a potential partner.

Some of the techniques i’ve personally used are:

    • Using an interesting quote from your favorite writer, comedian, or tv programme.

    • Tweaking paragraphs from books, poem or other forms of literary pieces.

    • Using lines from musical culture references.

But whatever style you use, it’s vitally important to make sure that somehow it’s a reflection of you. Personally the quotes that I find works best are ones that are humorous; for example…

“I’m not looking for Ms. Right. I’m looking for Ms. Right Now.”

“In order to be irreplaceable one must always be different.”

“I used to think I was indecisive, but now I’m not too sure.”

“Ladies… please rememeber that I’m not just a sex object.”

“Guaranteed more fun than your ex!”

Some of the best online dating profile headlines grab the user’s attention by asking them a question. It should be relevant to your online dating profile but the more obscure the better. When people are sifting through profiles, they often get drawn in to a particular online dating profile because they have asked a question and can’t resist answering it (particularly if it’s quite literal).

Make the user compelled to click on your profile and answer you! Be careful not to make it cheesy or demeaning. This will provide a subtle lead-in to info that will let you know more about them in just a few words.

Keep your questions light or humorous, its not a job interview or police interrogation…for example:

“I made just over $1,000,000 in less than 50min….want to know how?”
“Pssst, you want to know my secret powers are?”
“OMG…i’ll tell you something that will blow your mind!”
“This is your last chance, contact me or else”
“Where have you been until now?”
“I like crazy nights out and dancing, do you?”
“Wanna laugh all weekend?”
“Do you like your men Big Black & Handsome?”
“Do you have perfect pearly whites?”

You can also give hints as to what you’ are interested in, like;

“Anyone fancy cycling across the Chihuahuan Desert?”

The question can also be a continuation of your online dating profile username. For example: if you have a username that has to do with a character from a fairy tale (like Pocahontas), your tagline could be “We’ll build a bridge of love between two worlds.”

Also remember to refrain from any negativity in your headline! Nobody wants to be with someone who is depressed and feels the worlds against them continually.

Creator’s Tip:
Every aspect of an online profile is absolutely critical to its success, and taglines are very important when trying to grab the attention of a potential suitor. Along with your username they are the first elements that women see when searching online, and effective taglines will stimulate interest and get them viewing your profile. Creating the right tagline isn’t difficult with a little thought and plenty of practise. Remember guys, women will be able to hear your confidence through a good tagline and this is what you are aiming for.
